Member of the Bar since 1971, Me De Blois has always worked in private practice, particularly in civil law, insurance law, labor and employment law, disciplinary law, labor relations, and administrative law.

He has also acted as an agent for the Attorney General of Quebec and the Attorney General of Canada in both criminal and civil matters, as well as an arbitrator under the Canadian Labour Code.

As part of his labor relations practice, he negotiates collective agreements and handles grievance arbitration, dispute resolution, etc.

Additionally, he has participated in parliamentary commissions, Coroner’s inquests, and public inquiries with a mandate to represent witnesses summoned before these bodies. Since 1990, he has also developed expertise in police ethics and regularly pleads before the Police Ethics Committee, as well as in appeals of the Committee’s decisions.

His labor relations practice regularly leads him to advise municipalities, business leaders, unions, executives, and employees on their legal rights and obligations under the Labour Code, the Act respecting labour standards, matters of executive or employee dismissal, collective agreement negotiation and interpretation, as well as collective contracts for non-unionized employees.
In insurance law, he acts as counsel for insurers and policyholders in interpreting insurance policies, risk coverage, and litigation before the courts.
